I don't know about anyone else, but so far with the exception of the Barbershop films, Cedric The Entertainer has not been funny on the big screen since he made the jump from "The Steve Harvey Show". Out today on DVD is his last film, "The Cleaner". Cedric the Entertainer plays Jake, a seemingly regular guy who has no idea who he is after being hit over the head by mysterious assailants; when he finds himself entangled in a government conspiracy, Jake and his pursuers become convinced that he is an undercover agent.
This lame "James Bond", "Jason Bourne" film was released so early in January this year, folks were STILL celebrating the New Year coming in. Also starring in the film were "Desperate Housewives" star Nicolette Sheridan and Lucy Liu. According to boxofficemojo.com, the film had grosses a measly $8 million at the box office. With "The Honeymooners", "Man of the House", and "Johnson Family Vacation", Cedric needs to write his own jokes and make us laugh again.

to all the obviously very young naive people who feel the rosa parks comment was something to shrug off you really need to wake up. she just sat on a bus huh? well her refusal to move for whitey is why your simple azzes can get on the bus with your ipod blasted out ya earphones and empty heads. yes cedric was acting but he was born in a time when black men were still being lynched down south and lynched economicaly up north. he should have simply said no dawg i know im just acting but this isnt cool. now back to you ignorant nonchalant young people that do not know how well you have it. rosa was a human being with feelings and simply got tired of the disrespect just like many others and the fact that she just sat down made other passive black folks say yanno fugg this mess. what she did damn near bankrupted that bus service because black folks decided if their money wasnt good enough to allow them to sit then they would not be spending their money taking the bus. you young people really need to tune into your black history pages and find out about the blood sweat and tears that were shed for you to be able to be on tv besides coonin in black face or on the news for only crime {which unfortunatly is happenin now} live where you desire go to school and for you brainwashed males and dismal females to even date blondie. thanks to these people a black man can run for president or be an ignorant azz rapper on tv saying he would not turn in a serial killer if he is his friend or neighbor.as far as cedric is concerned i dont hate him at all but he seems to do better in stand up so i hope his career gets better and he studies the scripts better for accepting them in the future

Mimi, for your remarks #24, The Honorable Thurgood Marshall was the first black person ever to lay in state in the capital. Get it right before you call someone an idiot!! He laid in state in the Supreme Court than was moved to the Capital. NOW on the rest of your comments, let us not just get on Cedric and other entertainers for making jokes or comments about the people of the movement. Let us get on the parents of those kids who do not know anything about the movement except what they learned in school. Let us get on the parents who do not pull the reins on their kids who are bucking against everything they fought for. Those who give uo a free education in equal schools to sell on the corners or freeload off of others. Let get on the parents that let thier kids run the house because they are scared to whip their behinds for doing bad and wrong. We are focusing on the a comment made in a movie for entertainment. Some of you know that if they paid you enough you would make the same comment and ask for forgiveness later. Cedric said he just read the line because it was in the script. He respects what Ms. Parks did and what she went through. Get off of it!!! Let Ms. Parks rest and move on. America certainly has. Besides it was not this much fuss when the guy came out witht he book stating that Dr King was a womanizer who cheated on his wife all the time and would pull women from other guys just because he could. I have not heard anyone write about that!!! I will try to keep up with Bill Cosby and learn what is going on NOW!!!

Mimi and meka, you all really need to chill. now I understand and I see other people voicing their side of the story, but be serious. She sat on that bus a loooong time ago and you don't even know if she was trying to start a movement. She was probably just too tired to move. You're not even looking at her actions for what they are, you're looking at the chain of events that happened afterward. Now I admit I'm only 15 and live in an era where everything has been reversed, such as black kids wanna sit in the back and go to seperate schools anyway, but I'm smart enough to form the opinion that the statements Cedric's CHARACTER, not Cedric, but his CHARACTER said, were barely anything to have an entire message board discussin over it.
