With all the drama that's going on in his personal life now, let's not forget that when Eddie Murphy is on the big screen, he's there to entertain, and it's nice to him return to form in "Shrek The Third". After being villafied by the media for his performance in "Norbit", which may have cost him winning an Oscar for "Dreamgirls", Murphy is back to playing it safe as Donkey in the third film with Mike Meyers, Cameron Diaz, and Antonio Banderas. Between the three Shrek films, Daddy Day Care, both Doctor Dolittle films, and Mulan, Murphy has been great in making family themed films. Although "Norbit" was domestically profitable with $95 million, it still got bad press from his own peers. Despite that, Murphy is still a money maker in Hollywood, and second behind Will Smith in terms of African American leading actors who can sell worldwide.

In "Shrek The Third", which opens on May 18th, Murphy's character, Donkey, once again, sides along with Shrek and Puss In Boots in their quest to regain the throne of Far Far Away after jilted Prince Charming takes Fiona hostage and takes over the kingdom. Joining the group this time is Justin Timberlake as Fiona's rebellious cousin, Artie (as in Arthur of Camelot). Prepare for another family filled adventure.
