Though you can barely see her in the trailer, believe me when I tell you, this girl will knock you off your seat. "August Rush" opens on October 19,2007.

Last week, I happened to catch a sneak preview of "August Rush" and while I didn't know what to expect, I came out of the jammed packed room with one thought. This film will be a hit and make a star of out of this little girl who's not the star but plays a big supporting role, Jamia Nash. The minute she comes on-screen, she captivates you with her voice and if you haven't seen her from she's done so far, you too will be hooked. Not yet 11 yrs old, Nash has appeared on "Showtime at the Apollo", at the 2003 Essence Awardrs, and played American Idol winner Fantasia Barrino as a ten year old in last year's Lifetime movie, 'Life is Not a Fairytale: The Fantasia Barrino Story". To top things off, Nash is co-managed by the legendary Suzanne de Passe, former President of Motown Records.

"August Rush" tells the story of a charismatic young Irish guitarist (Jonathan Rhys Meyers) and a sheltered young cellist (Keri Russell) who have a chance encounter one magical night above New York's Washington Square, but are soon torn apart, leaving in their wake an infant, August Rush, orphaned by circumstance. Now performing on the streets of New York and cared for by a mysterious stranger (Robin Williams), August (Freddie Highmore) uses his remarkable musical talent to seek the parents from whom he was separated at birth. Nash plays Hope, a girl from a Harlem mission who encounters August Rush. Cast includes Freddie Highmore, Keri Russell, Jonathan Rhys-Meyers, Terrence Howard, Robin Williams, William Sadler,and Leon Thomas III.
