When it comes financial success at the box office, you have to strike gold on opening weekend because with from then on the numbers go down. So, in the seizing the best opportunity available, the Weinstein Co. will now release "The Nanny Diaries" on August 24th, instead of Sept. 7. The film stars Scarlett Johansson, Alicia Keys, and Laura Linney.
Based on the best-selling novel by Emma McLaughlin and Nicola Kraus this is the story of nine frantic months in the life of a young woman impulsively hired to care for the neglected 4-year-old son of a pampered wife and her near-absentee husband, whose marriage begins to disintegrate during the period. The young nanny is aptly named Nan and will be the role Scarlett will be in charge or occupying as she juggles the household's marital woes, her classes, a romance and a spoiled kid. Keys plays her best friend, Lynette.

STARRING ALICIA KEYS? WHERE? THIS TRAILER DID NOT SHOW HER SAYING OR DOING ANYTHING. NOT SURE IF I WANT TO SEE IT IF SHE IS JUST MAKING AN APPERANCE AND DOES NOT HAVE A SUBSTANCIAL ROLE.

I don't know. I might go see it at the movie. It doesn't sound like something I want to spend 7.50 on, but it sounds like it's worth checking out. Maybe I'll wait till it hits the dollar movie. lol. And as far as miss Keys goes, I was pleasantly surprised in 'smokin aces', so I'm sure she'll do a bangin job in this movie.

alicia keys is all that makes a women beautiful, she is graceful, she sings songs that make you feel something deep on the inside (not just your booty) and yes she in new to the field, but i feel she has a lot to offer cause her talent is real (now some other singer may fell she has it all but her songs only talk about her booty and some guy looking at her booty) and to me that dosent take alot of talent. we will see which song bird has the sweetiest sound.

I'm very proud of Alicia, but after watching the trailer I realized I never saw her it any scenes. Of course I'm sure she is in the movie somewhere but what was the point of all this about her if she can't even have a scene in the trailer. Or did I blink and miss her?
