Vivica A. Fox must have known that a strike was happening long before anyone else knew. While actors are looking for work, Fox has stockpiled enough films in the can that will keep her on the big and small screen in the months to come. Currently on DVD is her latest film, 'Father of Lies' with DMX and Clifton Powell, and coming soon are 'Three Can Play That Game' and 'Cover', which were recently shown at The American Black Film Festival. She also did a film with Jessica Simpson and Jill Marie Jones that looks like an updated version of 'Private Benjamin' called 'Major Movie Star'. The trailer is now online.
'Major Movie Star' revolves around an actress, played by Jessica Simpson, a pampered star who decides to enlist in the Marines to win approval from a producer and a studio who considers her unsuitable for an upcoming military-themed pic. Upon arriving at Camp Pendleton, she realizes she's made a mistake but decides to persist so she won't let her country down. Jill Marie Jones will play a fellow recruit and close friend of Simpson's, while Vivica A. Fox plays her seargant. Warner Bros. will release the film in 2008.

Vivica Fox has been pretty busy lately. Good For Her. 'Major Movie Star' Sounds Interesting. I Guess We Will Have To Wait For That.

Vivica is an excellent actress and I believe whatever role is given to her, she will own it. She know how to capture her audience with her grace and style. I saw "Whatever she wants" which reminded me of "Two can play that game", and she owned the role. I look forward to whatever movies or plays Vivica does next.

Vivica is very talented, but she let 50 Cent bring her down for a while. I mean literaly he didn't bring her down, but she allowed their break-up to get the best of her emotionally. IT SHOWED FOR A LONG TIME!! I'm just glad that the sista is back on track. You Go Girl!!

Props to Ms. Fox but this movie in this movie she is in the Army not the marines. Love to all armed forces, but the Army is most certainly not the marines!!!
