Shortly after it was announced that John Singleton would be directing a film version of the TV series 'The A-Team', Variety mentioned that Ice Cube was being considered for the role of BA Baracus, played famously by Mr. T.
The story, as most should know, is about four Vietnam vets, framed for a crime they didn't commit, who help the innocent while on the run from the military
While out in LA to promote his latest film, 'First Sunday', Ice Cube spoke about playing the role if given the opportunity.
Would you consider taking on the role of BA Baracus?
Ice Cube: Hell yeah, especially with John Singleton directing!
What would you bring to the character?
Ice Cube: I wouldn't try to duplicate what Mr. T did, but I will have the same impact on you when you were little watching the TV show. I'm going to bring my own flavor to it and I am going to do the mohawk.
So, is the role definite for you?
Ice Cube: I don't know. They want me to do it if all the business works out right. I was a fan as a kid and that would be, not a dream come true, but it's definitely a good thing to do and I would put it on my resume for sure.

Oh, so good to hear that. Seems I have seen he at an interracial dating club mixedfriends.com or somewhere just like that. Not sure whether it is true or not.

I HATE ICE CUBE EVERY SINCE HE DISRESPECTED OUR BLACK LEADERS!!! And since then I have NEVER went to a movie nor bought a video with any of the Barbarshop cast in it. We are the only race that forgive the slander of our leaders and that is a horrible practice, and it is why we do not have the respect of the nations of the world. Its is a slave mentality which I will never adopt. WHOEVER DISREPECTS DR. KING, SISTER ROSA PARKS OR ANY OTHER BLACK PEOPLE WHO GAVE THEIR LIVES AND DEATH FOR OUR BETTERMENT IS CERTAINLY ON MY DODO LIST FOREVER! I hope that this Ice Cube movie flops just like every one has flopped since he and his homies were stupid enough to take money to insult our leaders. The odd thing about it is that even though his movies and Cedrick's movies flop one-by-one the movie moguls are still trying to push them on us. Another indication of slave mentality: the slavemaster's money will fund any idea that aim to belittle or insult the Black race.

hmmmmmmmm,ice cube's not a bad choice...but,as i stated earlier when this project was first annouced.i still think ving rhames would be an excellent choice!
still---maybe he's to "old" for the part.and ice cube is a better choice....either cat would be good.

The person that down played Ice cube maybe just maybe you have not been able to make money like he has there has always been people like you who down play there own race. WELL I LOVE CUBE , BUT I DONT KNOW IF HE WOULD BE THE BEST PERSON TO PLAY B.A. MAYBE VING RHIMES OR THAT BIG BROTHER FROM THE GREEN MILE ?
HOWEVER I AM SURE , SHOULD HE GET THE ROLE HE WILL DO IT BIG AND THE MOVIE WILL BE A GOOD ONE TO SEE

What did Cube say to insult the black people? I dont remember that...I think he would be good for the role. Ving is too huge...he dont look the part as much as Cube does. The guy from Green Mile is too big as well...
