Coming out on March 21 will be the latest film from Tyler Perry, 'Tyler Perry's Meet The Browns, which features the return to the big screen by Madea, the indomitable, law-breaking, fun-loving grandma , and the return of Angela Bassett in a leading role.
What is new this time around is the film is being a month after the Oscars have occurred.
Unlike his last film, 'Why Did I Get Married?', which was released in the fall last year, all of his other films ('Diary of a Mad Black Woman,' 'Madea's Family Reunion', and 'Daddy's Little Girls') have opened to great success during Oscar weekend.
Written and directed by Perry and based on his own play, the film also features David Mann, Tamela Mann, Jenifer Lewis, Lance Gross, Chloe Bailey, Mariana Tolbert, Rick Fox, Sofia Vergara, and Irma P. Hall.
The plot?
A single mother living in inner city Chicago, Brenda has been struggling for years to make ends meet and keep her three kids off the street.
But when she's laid off with no warning, she starts losing hope for the first time – until a letter arrives announcing the death of a father she's never met. Desperate for any kind of help, Brenda takes her family to Georgia for the funeral.
But nothing could have prepared her for the Browns, her father's fun-loving, crass Southern clan.
In a small-town world full of long afternoons and country fairs, Brenda struggles to get to know the family she never knew existed...and finds a brand new romance that just might change her life.

Here we go again. Tyler just seems to knowwhen to hit us with all the right stuff. Now how could he know that us single parents needed to be put on blast? It just has to be GOD!!!!!!!!!!!!

i am one of his biggest fans i have all his movies,and
plays.he is a one of a kind.and his character madea is one of the best that i have seen yet.so much joy and love in his movies and plays and the songs are really touching.keep up the good work and god bless.

I just saw the movie as I was selected as a special audience member for a prescreening of, "Meet The Browns". IT IS AWESOME. I am a man. I cried in the movie as the subject matter totally hit home for me. Angela Bassett is NO JOKE...but my girl Jenifer Lewis...the loud one in the family that shows out at the funeral and everything else...hahahaha...Took the cake for me. You will not be disappointed. Get out on March 21, 2008, (Easter Weekend, and see this show. Yes, Tyler (with the help of the Lord), has done IT again!!!
