'It seemed like the perfect house. He seemed like the perfect tenant. Until they asked him to leave.' - That was the tag line to a 1990 thriller film called 'Pacific Heights' which starred Melanie Griffiths, Matthew Modine, and Michael Keaton about couple dealing psycho neighbors.
Almost 20 years later, we have a new version of that film called 'Lakeview Terrace,' which stars Patrick Wilson, Kerry Washington, and Samuel L. Jackson.
In the film, a young couple (Patrick Wilson and Kerry Washington) has just moved into their California dream home when they become the target of their next-door neighbor, who disapproves of their interracial relationship. A stern, single father, this tightly wound LAPD officer (Samuel L. Jackson) has appointed himself the watchdog of the neighborhood.
His nightly foot patrols and overly watchful eyes bring comfort to some, but he becomes increasingly harassing to the newlyweds. These persistent intrusions into their lives ultimately turn tragic when the couple decides to fight back.
Sony's Screen Gems will release the Neil LaBute thriller in theaters on September 19.

If I liked the first movie, I'm always curious about the remake; is it better or not? And I like Samuel L. Jackson, so I plan to watch "Lakeview Terrace".

this isn't a good idea. ppl already hate the cops. so now we've got a movie about a black power hungry MALE cop who hates interracial couples. yeah, this is NOT gonna go over very well in the social concincious. or maybe i'm burned that as someone who's in a interracial relationship and married to a US Army member (cops can kiss my ass! military is where the crazy is at!), seeing something like this in this day and age should NOT be happening!

I will be first in line to see this. I love Kerry Washington and I loved Patrick Wilson in Little Children. Sam Jackson will do anything for money so I'm not so hyped on him but I'm loving this.

Never heard or seen Patrick Wilson before....however like Kerry Washington and love Samuel Jackson. Samuel is one of only a few actors talented enough to bring a lot of realness into any role that he plays. He is a subperb actor. Can't wait to see the movie.

As hollywood is making,so many remakes, these days, they should do a remake of the ten commandments.Who better to play the role of,Moses other than Sam(the man)Jackson?!And Laurence fishburne as Pharoah Ramses.
Vanessa Williams,as Pharoahs wife. This would be some good stuff!
