Sony Pictures Classics will release Sundance Festival favorite, 'The Wackness', on July 2nd, 2008. The cast includes Josh Peck, Sir Ben Kingsley, Method Man, Mary Kate Olsen, Olivia Thirlby, Famke Janssen, and Aaron Yoo.

It's the summer of 1994, and the streets of New York are pulsing with hip-hop and wafting with the sweet aroma of marijuana--but change is in the air. The newly-inaugurated mayor, Rudy Giuliani, is beginning to implement his anti-fun initiatives against "crimes" like noisy portable radios, graffiti and public drunkenness. Set against this backdrop, Luke Shapiro (Josh Peck) spends his last summer before college selling dope throughout New York City, trading it with his shrink (Ben Kingsley) for therapy, while crushing on his step-daughter (Olivia Thirlby).

To no surprise, Method Man plays a Rastafarian drug dealer.

So far, in looking at his film credits from 'Belly' to 'How High' to 'Garden State', why is that most of his roles has him playing a drug dealer of some sort. It's one thing if you have to take the role when you get in the game, but Method has been acring for some time, I would have thought he would taken a role that shows some range.
