After making her film debut opposite her father Will Smith in the blockbuster hit 'I Am Legend', Willow Smith's next film should be more family oriented that her friends can come out and see her in, especially when she's featured with one of today's hottest child actors in the business, Abigail Breslin in 'Kit Kittredge: An American Girl'.
Also featured in the film are Joan Cusack, Glenne Headly, Jane Krakowski, Chris O'Donnell, Julia Ormond, Wallace Shawn, Stanley Tucci, Madison Davenport, Zach Mills, and Max Thieriot.

Academy Award nominee Abigail Breslin ('Little Miss Sunshine') will star as Kit Kittredge in the film. Produced by HBO Films, Elaine Goldsmith-Thomas and Marisa Yeres, from Goldsmith-Thomas Productions, in association with Julia Roberts and Lisa Gillan from Red Om Films, and Ellen L. Brothers of American Girl, Inc., the film is written by Ann Peacock and tells the story of the clever and resourceful Kit Kittredge, a nine-year-old girl growing up in 1934 during America's Great Depression.
Introduced in 2000 as the seventh American Girl historical character, Kit Kittredge will be the first one to have her story adapted for a theatrical film.
In the film, 10 year old Kit lives in a boarding house her parents own in Cincinnati, Ohio. She has a passion for writing, & dreams of having something of hers put in the local paper someday. With the help of her friends, Sterling & Ruthie, will her dream finally come true?
Willow plays a friend of Kit named Countee.

Was it just me or did the trailer for An American Girl leave out Willow Smith?

Lynn, I can assure you...It wasn't you! I would not worry though. I think Willow will do just fine. Give her a little time. The Smith's have enough money and fortitude to buy a movie to star their child in. The time just is not right yet. Willow is still very young but I am sure she will stake her claim!

Just about everyone in the acting business starts off with short or background parts. Then they work their way up. Just give this little girl time and let her have fun with what ever parts she gets.

People everyone in a movie can not be in a trailer. Willow isn't a major character, so it isn't a big deal she wasn't in the trailor. The ideal for a trailer is to show the movie's star and storyline, not put in a minor character with famous parents.

The article SAID, "Willow plays a friend of Kit named Countee." We will have to see the film to know more about the character, Countee, don't you think? The article did not say that Willow Smith was the STAR; it said that she was featured!

I THINK THAT IF THEY WANT HER TO PROMOTE THE MOVIE, THEN HER FACE SHOULD BE FRONT AND CENTER. THEY WANT PEOPLE TO GO SEE THE MOVIE, AND THEY'RE BANKING ON WILL SMITH'S NAME, THEN SHOW HIS DAUGHTER. I DON'T CARE IF IT IS A SMALL ROLE, SHE'S BEEN PROMOTING THE MOVIE JUST LIKE THE MAIN CHARACTER HAS. GIVE HER, HER PROPS. AND THE BULL BY SAYING SHE HAS A SMALL PART. SO WHAT. YOUR USING HER FATHER'S NAME TO GET PEOPLE IN THE SEATS. SHOW PEOPLE THAT NOT ONLY CAUCASIAN (WHITE) GIRLS ARE AMERICAN GIRLS TOO. THANK YOU VERY MUCH. AFRICAN WOMEN I'LL ASK JUST THIS ONE QUESTION. IF NO AFRICAN AMERICANS GIRLS WERE IN THIS PICTURE WOULD YOU TAKE YOUR FEMALE RELATIVES TO SEE IT. AND HOW MANY AMERICAN GIRLS ARE AFRICAN AMERICAN. LET THAT MARINATE, AND GET BACK TO ME.
