In what may be his first big screen role since 'Blade II', Entertainment Weekly posted the first look of Wesley Snipes, along with Don Cheadle, in 'Brooklyn's Finest', which is being directed by Antoine Fuqua.
Three unconnected Brooklyn cops wind up at the same deadly location after enduring vastly different career paths.
Snipes will play a drug dealer and Cheadle is an undercover officer, respectively.
Also staring in the film are Richard Gere, Ethan Hawke, Ellen Barkin, Jesse Williams, Sarah Thompson, and Hassan Johnson (from HBO's The Wire). Williams plays a rookie cop under Richard Gere.
Snipes has been in the news lately over his legal issues for not paying taxes. He's working with the govenment hoping to avoid any jail time. Coming up next for Snipes is another straight-to-DVD film, but actually a sequel to a film that played in theaters, 'The Art of War II: Betrayal'. Until 'Brooklyn's Finest' comes out, Snipes would have had 8 films that went to straight-to-DVD.
Before anyone starts to fact-check, 'Blade: Trinity' did play in theaters in 2004 but if you saw the film, Snipes played second fiddle to Ryan Reynolds and Jessica Biel and didn't help promote the film.
His role in 'Finest' may not be a leading but it's a step to get back in the big leagues.
'Brooklyn's Finest' opens in 2009.

Wesley Snipes is a Uncle Tom...After hearing him speak bad about African American women, I could care less about him!

To Ms. Silky Blog #14. Sister Silky Its time to get off the who wants a broke black bro kick, who wants a gold digging sister or a woman that can't respect a black man and understand with all the extra hill climbing he has to do just to be on a even plain with the rest of the many faces of diverse ethnic cultures in America, here you come sounding like your needy ass has to be financially supported before you can be happy with an ordinary down to earth hard working brother. WHAT DO YOU BRING TO THE TABLE? Oh, get off the table and close your legs, is that all you can offer me. Its 2008 and your Eyes are still OPEN WIDE SHUT. A closed mind will set you up for a closed door. Happiness is not financial. You've been programed sister. I've witness in my life a homeless couple walking down a street hand and hand, I've witnessed a homeless sister massaging her man's feet on a city bench 1 o'clock in the afternoon in uptown Charlotte. Its well time to quit passing up your chance for peace of mind and happinest for what you think is the American Dream. Vernon Williams Sr. (CEO and Founder) Urban Family Source.

Don Cheadle is a great actor as well as Wesley Snipes. Let's concentrate on if we will be going to see this movie and place less comments on attacking Wesley Snipes personally. Don Cheadle should be receiving more positive comments and less should be placed on attacking Wesley Snipes. Just my opinion.

All of these people are good in there respected field but most common bond is money. now, money aint the only thing, because they have it and are still have troubled lives.maybe because they forgot from where they came!!! They need to b on the streets of yhese major cities, where all the gun violence takes place. I can say partly because of some of the movies they made

Why should we care who someone dates or marry. The last time I heard this man is a marry man and if his wife is asian, white, black or whatever, it is nobody else concern. I have told black women to date other groups of people, and when it comes to marriage and when people go before God, color does not matter. I am very happy with my asian wife, I did not marry her because she was asian and I did not marry a black women because they were black, I marry because I love this person. People get a life. Sorry asses.
