There is no another way to say it. F. Gary Gray, who made his bones with music videos and then bursting on the Hollywood scene with the gritty cult classic, 'Set It Off', which starred (Vivica A. Fox, Queen Latifah, Jada Pinkett Smith, and Kimberly Elise) is set to go back to the urban genre with an updated version on Julius Caesar.

Variety states that Mandalay Pictures has acquired bigscreen rights to the Oni Press graphic novel 'Julius', a contempo urban crime adaptation of William Shakespeare's 'Julius Caesar.' Gray is attached to direct the film.

The story was written by Antony Johnston and illustrated by Brett Weldele.

Gray's directing credits include 'The Italian Job' and 'The Negotiator.'
