Dimension Films has released the trailer to 'Soul Men', which stars Samuel L. Jackson and Bernie Mac. This was one of Bernie Mac's last performances before he passed away last month. Also featured in the film are Sharon Leal, Sean Hayes, Jennifer Coolidge, John Legend and Isaac Hayes, who also passed away a day after Mac's death.
Directed by Malcolm D. Lee, the film is about two former backup soul singers Louis (Samuel L. Jackson) and Floyd (Bernie Mac) who travel cross country to perform at a tribute concert in honor of their famous former band leader. They haven't spoken to each other in 20 years but reluctantly agree to travel together for the tribute performance. Both Jackson and Mac did their own musical and dance performances in the film.
'Soul Men' will be released on November 14,2008.

Samuel Jackson always gives all he's got whenever he's on screen and Bernie, well, nobody can do him, but him. It'll be kind of weird seeing him now with the knowledge that he's no longer with us but I'm willing to bet this'll be a very funny movie.

Wow..looks like a great movie...makes me sad to see bernie mac and issacc in it knowing they both past within a week of each other...Sam has done some great movies this year. Lakeview Terrace looks the best though. I saw a whole photo gallery on www.urbanthoughtcollective.com about the movie. Great pics...go check them out
