If there's one family that stays above the recesssion line, it's the Wayans clan. Whatever they do in films, they work as a whole team and this time the next generation are coming into the fray. Coming out this week is their latest comedy film, 'Dance Flick,' which is a spoof on most of the dance films there were released in recent years. Directed by Damien Wayans, the film stars Shoshana Bush, Essence Atkins, Chelsea Makela, Brennan Hillard and most of the Wayans clan. Expect to see spoofs on 'Save the Last Dance,' 'Stomp the Yard' and 'High School Musical,' and many more.

Out on DVD and Blu-ray this week is the film that withstood an onslaught of terrible reviews to land atop the box office for two straight weeks, including having the second-best opening of all-time for the MLK weekend, behind 2008's 'Cloverfield.' Starring TV's 'King of Queens' actor Kevin James in his first lead role, 'Paul Blart: Mall Cop' is about a mild-mannered security guard who tries to save the day when a shopping mall is overtaken by a gang of organized crooks. Also starring in the film are Bobby Cannavale, Peter Gerety, Keir O'Donnell, and Jayma Mays.
With comic book films taking a back seat this summer to returning franchises such as 'Star Trek,' and 'Terminator: Salvation,' here's a documentary that worth taking a look at in case you need that genre to entertain you. 'Confessions of a Superhero' is a feature length documentary that chronicles the lives of three mortal men and one mortal woman who make their living working as superhero characters on Hollywood Boulevard. The Hulk sold his Super Nintendo for a bus ticket to LA; Wonder Woman was a mid-western homecoming queen; Batman struggles with his anger, while Superman's psyche is consumed by the Man of Steel.
