Coming out next month is 'Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen,' the sequel to the blockbuster film that came out in 2007.
Returning to the film are Shia LaBeouf, Megan Fox, Josh Duhamel, Tyrese Gibson, Kevin Dunn and John Turturro.
Directed by Michael Bay, Sam Witwicky (LaBeouf) again joins the Autobots against their sworn enemies, the Decepticons.
In the May/June issue of Creative Screenwriting Magazine, 'Transformers' screenwriters Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci state that when the story begins, the Autobots and the military have been waging a secret war against the Decepticons. As more of the giant robots continue to resurface, though, it becomes apparent that the Transformers have been part of Earth's history for longer than they've led mankind to believe. One group of bureaucrats even wonders if the Decepticons are only appearing because of the Autobot presence.
Desperate not to leave Earth undefended, Optimus Prime turns to Sam and asks him to become a human advocate, someone who will convince mankind that the Autobots should be allowed to stay. Sam refuses to believe he can help, though, wanting to go to college and live a normal life -- as normal as possible with the strange thoughts and visions that have haunted him since being exposed to the All Spark's primal energies two years earlier. Alas, Sam's refusal will have harsh consequences for himself, the Autobots and possibly the entire world. The Decepticons' fallen leader, Megatron, has been resurrected and brings with him an ancient evil from the Transformers' own history.
Tyrese reprises his role as Robert Epps, a member of the U.S. Air Force .
Dreamworks will release the film on June 24.

In Transformers I, Tyrese's Military rank was that of a Technical Sergeant and in Transformers II he is promoted to Master Sergeant;
however, the stripes he's wearing on his uniform are those of a Chief Master Sergeant, the Air Force's highest enlisted rank...A Master Sergeant has 2 less stripes. Someone didn't do his or her homework! Some military members will be appalled. (Chief Master Sergeant Retired)

Okay, I talked to the people at Transformers and I asked them how Tyreese got promoted from Technical Sergeant to Chief Master Sergeant so quickly. They said: "What had happened was: Tyreese had a line number for Master Sergeant when he was in the first Transformers movie but he just did not sew on the stripe yet:-) Then he got step promoted (two times) You, know, for fighting Aliens and stuff:-) There ya go! (Jackson, Air Force Veteran SSgt)

I can't wait till the movie comes out!!!! Ummm, but how the hell did Tyrese go from a TSgt in the movie before to a CMSgt...LOL! I wish we could get rank that fast...LMAO! This is how the rank stature goes from E-6 to E-9, and the AF doesn't give you rank like that no matter what...LOL! I mean to MSgt maybe, but not Chief in zero flat...LOL!
TSgt- Tech Sergeant (E-6)
MSgt Sergeant (E-7)
SMSgt Senior Master Sergeant )E-8)
CMSgt Chief Master Sergeant (E-9)

Tyrese is a great actor, the movie is make believe so his stripes don't matter. We do not have to be so tecnical,in the old cowboy movies the hero's hat never fell off, while riding a horse or fighting.

True..but you need to be in the military to understand how absurd it is for him to have Chief stripes on already. It would be the same as if the US Special Forces in the movie were running around with AK47s instead of M4's..or if Bumblebee had a Dodge logo on him instead of a Chevy logo. Little things like that DO matter, no matter how make-believe the movie are.

um.. why does have on Cmsgt stripes on!?!?! and why on the TRansformers website it says he has been promoted to the rank of Msgt?!? it is a huge difference between a chief and a master sgt.. i wear the U.S. Air Force logo across my chest everyday and i feel if anyone is going to play an airmen then do ya homework on the rank structure
