Walt Disney Animation Studios has provided an exclusive clip to the musical 'The Princess and the Frog,' an animated comedy set in the great city of New Orleans.
From the creators of 'The Little Mermaid' and 'Aladdin' comes a modern twist on a classic tale, featuring a beautiful girl named Tiana (Anika Noni Rose), a frog prince who desperately wants to be human again and a fateful kiss that leads them both on a hilarious adventure through the mystical bayous of Louisiana.
The film also features the voice of media mogul Oprah Winfrey as Tiana's mother, Eudora, and actor Terrence Howard as James, Tiana's father.

Also featured in the film are John Goodman, Keith David, Jim Cummings and Jenifer Lewis.
This marks Winfrey's second film project for 2009. She, along with Tyler Perry, are executive producer of 'Precious.'
Howard was last seen with Channing Tatum in 'Fighting.'
'Princess' opens nationwide on Dec. 11.

I just so disappointing they didn't put a black man as her prince. I can't watch. Not to mention the story itself is cliche and has some holes. I won't go into details but still. I guess Disney doesn't like black men.

Yes, little girls may admire princesses and want to be like them, but I don't think the same can be said for little boys on princes. I mean I've never heard of or met a little boy who thinks a prince is cool and wants to be like one. Well, at least straight boys don't (No offense but the idea of a "dashing prince" sounds pretty gay to me).
Generally speaking, little boys tend to idolize and identify with superheroes' figures such as Superman or Indiana Jones. Ken-doll-like Princes just don't do much for boys as princesses do for girls. Besides it's not like people ever pay attention to the princes in the Disney movies anyway (except for girls that drool over them), so why make such a fuss over them in the first place?
All that being said, I do think Disney should have a black male lead character (who doesn't necessarily have to be a prince) featured in at least one of their future movies.

As a black woman with four daughters and one of the many black mothers that wrote Disney and told them it was time for a black princess, I do not care if the prince is black or white because most black men not all, do not want to marry a black woman. My daughters will now know they do not have to live with in a box they can look out of the box and fine their prince!! Thanks Dinsey.

who cares if he's black, white, asian, or any other nationality. we have to look past color and find the best person for you. that's why people of color are so messed up now. you are looking for a person that's like you or to rescue you. you partner should compliment you.

I guess my only concern is that I hope they have a beautiful signature song by the Princess. So far the only song from the movie I've heard is a old white man trying to sing and sound like an old black man, singing some ebonics song that no kid will like.
