Hopefully, with his legal issues behind him, Wesley Snipes is coming to back to the big screen in 2010 with a new film that some may find closely related to the film he is mostly known for, 'New Jack City.'
'Brooklyn's Finest' is directed by Antoine Fuqua, and also stars Don Cheadle, Richard Gere, Michael K. Williams, and Ethan Hawke, Jesse Williams, Ellen Barkin, Lili Taylor, Brian F. O'Byrne, Will Patton, and Vincent D'Onofrio.
Burned out veteran Eddie Dugan (played by Gere) is just one week away from his pension and a fishing cabin in Connecticut. Narcotics officer Sal Procida (played by Hawke) has discovered there's no line he won't cross to provide a better life for his long-suffering wife and seven children. And Clarence "Tango" Butler (played by Cheadle) has been undercover so long his loyalties have started to shift from his fellow police officers to his prison buddy Caz (played by Snipes), one of Brooklyn's most infamous drug dealers.
With personal and work pressures bearing down on them, each man faces daily tests of judgment and honor in one of the world's most difficult jobs. When NYPD's Operation Clean Up targets the notoriously drug-ridden BK housing project, all three officers find themselves swept away by the violence and corruption of Brooklyn's gritty 65th Precinct and its most treacherous criminals.
During seven fateful days, Eddie, Sal and Tango find themselves hurtling inextricably toward the same fatal crime scene and a shattering collision with destiny.
The film captures the volatile and deadly world of one of New York's most dangerous precincts through the eyes of the men and women pledged to protect and serve, as they face the wrenching choices that make them "Brooklyn's Finest."
Overture Films will release the film on March 5, 2010.

Um I'm sorry there are so many new actors out there that could have played these parts. Not that they aren't good actors but am I the only one that is tired of seeing the same actors on the big screen? Wesley looks too damn old to be playin a gangsta sorry just my opinion.

HERE WE GO AGAIN....another movie featuring African American (men) over drugs and crime and the lowest common denominator.
I thought we were starting to progress?
I think that there are enough movies and current TV shows that cover these topics of drugs, crime and also violence.
There isn't enough positive films and shows being created that showcase our lives. This is getting soooo old!!! Besides all of this there is reality TV which isn't really reality to me. People on those shows are "acting" trying to make money or be famous.
When will we progress and innovate?

I love me some "Don Cheadle" and will support this movie, because of him...He truly is an underrated actor. Wesley does look a little old to be playing this role, couldn't they have gotten Columbus Short or Brian White (bernie mac's nemesis in the movie Mr. 3000), or even Isaiah Washington. Nevertheless, I'll see the movie, because I'm huge Don Cheadle fan.

its good wesley snipes back on the screen. I hope his legal woes are behind him. as far as this movie is concerned it looks good and tough. However,I like to see him play a good guy or play a romantic lead for a change, or even on broadway.but he looks good on film. Welcome back,Wesley.

I too hope that Wesley's legal troubles are behind him. BTW: He was "roasted" for not paying taxes did he not have a team on money ppl to handle that aspect of his business?? Hello.
Other wise in agreement with the post "schent". Actors /Atheletes/Politicians and the like are are being paid doing what they love and quite handsomely paid for it. How many of us "regular" ppl can attest to that same thing. Fans have no say-so on a celeb's personal life-preferences. Wesley prefers Asian/White women again HIS preference.
I too looked at him in different light and lost respect for him at that point, when it came out about his abuse towards Ms Halle. Not saying we as fans should let it slide but let's be real that we are human beings and the only person that has to forgive him is Ms. Halle and from the looks of things she not doing to bad, at all as her preferences has shifted also: Handsome White male model/her babies-daddy.
(I'm Glad she has found her slice of HappYness!!)
Will be go to see this movie because Don C is also in it and HE's a consummate actor, he KICKED aZZ in "TRAITOR" it matters not that the movie did not do well for box office draw$.

Well, I am a black woman and could care less if he likes to date women of my race. I am not trying to date him. I want to see him act. He is an extremely talented actor and have been a fan for years. I loved him in New Jack City, Jungle Fever, Mo Better Blues, and many others. I hope he continues to find roles.
