It appears the NAACP Image Awards Committee and the Nobel Peace Prize Committee has something in common. They have sadly cheapened the legitimacy of their awards. Why would a committee established to recognize and award the highest of standards, make a reversal and award images of such horrific proportions. The Precious movie was a disgusting piece of cinematography draped as art. The images and perceptions from that film are sent globally and does nothing to assist in the advancement of the perceptions of Black life in this country. The world bases their perceptions on images they see and this is incredibly damaging to our image. There are a million topics on which to create a fantastic film; why would this piece be put at the forefront and heavily promoted??? I expect better of my people. I'm not interested in the "quality of acting" excuse because those "quality" actors could just as well use their "quality" acting skills in a dynamic dramatic film telling our story of wonderment, fantasy, success, achievement, scholarship, integrity...the stuff we are REALLY made of. I would hate to think we are at a point of our evolution where we would accept this pathetic piece of film as something good we've offered the world, vis a vis a Black President accepting the Nobel Peace Prize while escalating war resulting in the killing of children, women and men. We have got to be smarter than this or our generations will suffer. Mark my word.

Tag. You have to understand that Black people are morally bankrupt. I don't know who is worse...the hood rats on the street corner..or the upper crust negroes in the movie and music business. The Black media has been bragging about how great "Precious" is but everyone whom I've asked said it was disturbing to watch. What these foolish negroes don't understand is that when Hollywood praises a movie like this, what they are really doing is legitimize all the stereotypes that these same upper crust Blacks claim so much to be against...they are nothing but hypocrites, each and every one of them!!!
