According to Deadline Hollywood, Jason Momoa, best known for his roles as Jason Ioane in the television series 'Baywatch' and as Ronon Dex in 'Stargate: Atlantis,' has been picked by Lionsgate and Millennium Films to star in the remake of Robert E. Howard's 'Conan the Barbarian.'
The 30-year-old Hawaii native is also the spouse of 'Cosby Show' actress Lisa Bonet and the father of two of her children, daughter Lola Iolani Momoa and son Nakoa-Wolf Manakauapo Namakaeha Momoa.
Director Marcus Nispel is due to begin shooting on location in Bulgaria in mid-March. The film will follow Conan as he seeks to avenge his slaughtered father and tribe.
Mamoa is also set to play Khal Drogo in the HBO adaption of 'Game of Thrones.'
Arnold Schwarzenegger starred in the 'Conan the Barbarian' and 'Conan the Destroyer' back in the early '80s.

the powers of hollywood pushed out the real dread locked muscle man Keith Hamilton Cobb, for this phoney white boy with fake locks. I am so tired of the fake white mans version of the real thing. Keith should be playing Conan, he would have been perfect for the role. just like he was in adromada, do an interview with him,the real dread lock muscle "Black" man.
