Who wouldn't want to go back in time in a hot tub to change things for the better?
With '80s icon John Cusack leading the pack, a group of friends gets a once-in-a-lifetime chance to relive the past and change the future in 'Hot Tub Time Machine,' this year's first outrageously funny comedy.
Directed by Steve Pink and also starring Rob Corddry, Craig Robinson, Clark Duke and Crispin Glover, the film follows a quartet of guys who are utterly bored and frustrated with how their lives have turned out. Adam (Cusack) just got divorced and is putting up with his nephew Jacob (Duke), who plays video games all day. Best bud Lou (Corddry) spends most of his time partying, and Nick (Robinson) can't do anything without the approval of his wife.
When the guys, with Jacob tagging along for the ride, get together at a ski resort, a freak accident in the suite's hot tub literally transports them back to the '80s.
Everything from leg warmers, Adidas sneakers, the Michael Jackson red jacket, black skinny ties, 'Miami Vice' white blazers and shades and more are on display as the guys are besides themselves trying to figure out what's happening and how they get back to the present. For some, it's a chance to correct some mistakes; for others, playing with the past could be dangerous. But for the moment, they have fun knowing what the future will be.

As crazy as the title sounds, 'Hot Tub' is actually fun ride, especially if you happened to survive the '80s the first time around. The movie's catalyst is Cusack. Who better to sell the film than the guy who starred in plenty of '80s cult classics such as 'Say Anything' and 'Better Off Dead?' To add more spice, we have a Crispin Glover sighting. From playing George McFly in 'Back to the Future' to co-starring with Johnny Depp in 'Alice in Wonderland,' the guy doesn't seem like he's aged at all.
Clark may be the neophyte in the group, but he holds his own. This is Corddry's breakout role. If you didn't catch him when he was on the 'Daily Show,' then here's your chance to see him in action. He's got the chops to entertain you all night long. Last but not least, Robinson keeps it real and gets high marks when he belts his version of Rick Springfield's 'Jessie Girl.'
At times, certain scenes are over the top, but if you're in the mood for some fun and memories, then 'Hot Tub' is a joy ride. Just remember that once you leave the theater, it's back to reality.

I think Duke has a lot of potential as a relative newcomer. He's a likable guy in whatever character he plays.
Great cast in a funny movie!

That movie was hilarious. I can't remember when I laughed so hard. All of the characters were great. The man with the one arm...too, too funny!
