Reps from VH1 have told Black Voices that Queen Latifah's production company, Flavor Unit Entertainment, will be producing a 'Movie of the Week' for the cable channel called 'Single Ladies,' and starring Lauren London, Lisa Raye, and Stacey Dash.

'Single Ladies' is a comedic drama about a group of female best friends with different philosophies on sex and relationships, set in the world of Atlanta fashion, music, and celebrity. This is a modern, sexy 'Odd Couple' that will constantly test which woman has the right approach to relationships.

The script was written by Stacey Littlejohn, who has worked on various TV shows such as 'All of Us,' 'Cedric the Entertainer Presents,' and 'The Hughleys.' She will also serve as an executive producer.

Shooting will be taped in the Atlanta area.

Flavor Unit has produced a number of movies, including 'The Cookout,' 'Beauty Shop,' 'The Perfect Holiday' and 'Just Wright.'

McCoy, who will play a video vixen, spoke to Vibe.com and stated, "When 'Girlfriends' got off the TV we didn't have anything else to relate to. This would be something else as a series so we can do more and be a little bit more risqué."

Dash, who plays a celebrity stylist experiencing autonomy for the first time, says, "My character is very similar to my own life because I've never been single. Literally, since I've been 17 years old. She's never been married, the character than I'm playing, whereas I've been married three times, so that's the difference. It's a really good script."

According to her rep, London, will play an NBA player's wife.
