Very recently, comedian and actress Kym Whitley had posted on her Twitter account that she was going to be in 'Transformer 3.'
"Working on Transformers 3 today, a little nervous...always when starting a new project. I have said the Lords prayer 12 times."
While she didn't specify what her role will be in the film, the Ohio native spoke exclusively with BV's Jawn Murray and gave some insight into her role.
"I usually don't like mentioning that I am working on 'Transformers' because I was also in 'Transformers 2' and I got cut out. So I try not to get excited about working on the project until I see the final edit, because you never know what's going to happen."

"The real excitement about working on the film just comes from working with [director] Michael Bay. He writes these parts for me and just lets me roll with it. You can't beat that. It's kind of like working with Larry David, when I did 'Curb Your Enthusiasm.' Michael Bay works fast though. He laughs a lot, too. You rarely get someone to just tell you to go ahead and do your thing. That's the beauty of working with him."
Whitley, who has numerous film credits and has done guest appearances on various TV shows, also spoke about some of her upcoming projects.
"I am producing a film called '35 and Ticking' that stars Nicole Ari Parker, Mike Epps, Tamala Jones, Kevin Hart, Jill Marie Jones and Keith Robinson. It's a feel-good film about four friends that grew up together and how one of them wants to be married with children. Sometimes you are looking for love, but don't realize that the love of your life was your friend all along."
"I am currently co-hosting 'The Brian McKnight Show' each weekend on the CW Network and just did some work on 'The Boondocks' as well."
'Transformer 3,' which is scheduled for release on July 1, 2011, has a cast that includes Shia LaBeouf, Megan Fox, Josh Duhamel, Tyrese Gibson, Kevin Dunn, Julie White, Frances McDormand, John Malkovich, Ken Jeong, and Patrick Dempsey.

The Transformers movies may or may not get the attention they seek. Revenge of The Fallen failed miserably in the theatres and in my personal opinion, it was a disaster. The biggest issue is too much boom boom, bang bang, crash crash, and not enough story line. The first Transformers movies was a blast because it took the time in between the explosions and robotic fighting to address the charactors, and who they were, as well as what their role was in all of this. Revenge was all about the gratuitous destruction, and really failed where the story itself came into play.
I really respect Michael Bay, and the actors in the films, but we need content that goes beyond destruction of everything in sight...

I'm willing to bet anyone's Salary or Job for that matter that neither the 'Dinobots' nor 'Unicron' will ever be in this film (maybe even any film for that matter). 'Unicron' is too big of an element to be in the sequel, and the 'Dinos' are too irrelevant in today’s world. I'm guessing that it will be based on the mythology of "Energon" and the “Life” of any 'Transformer' on Earth as we know it. How will the “Transformers” continue to live on Earth without an energy source to live off of? According to Hasbro's CEO, "You’re going to see that great core mythology brought to the fore, and Michael is hard at work at making this a reality and we’re very excited about it," Hasbro's head Brian Goldner also quoted Mr. Bay stating, "What we’re really doing is getting back to some of the core character development and storytelling. And I think there’s some elements of the core story that the filmmakers, Michael in particular wanted to tell..." With that said, this sequels cast includes Shia LaBeouf, Megan Fox, John Malkovich, Frances McDormand, John Turturro, Patrick Dempsey, Ken Jeong, Josh Duhamel, Tyrese Gibson, Ramon Rodriguez, Kevin Dunn, Julie White, and Kym Whitley, they really are focusing on character placement and development. It will be pretty difficult for Bay & Spielberg to come up with something historic as well as original. Possibly by now everyone has read the “Leaked Script,” that was release immaturely late last year, knows how that story was told, but everyone should remember that not everything presented from a leaked script is considered a complete fake, or that most of it is false. This same leaked script does point out that the humans are or being to revolt against the same “Transformers” that have turned up here on Earth, which coincidently has been told and shown online with pictures depicting city walls and garbage cans spray-painted with crossed-out “Autobot” or “Decepticon” logos depicted in a circle with the words “Go Home” sprayed below. Many of you believe stories related to the comics and cartoons may seem too “Old,” while others may believe the stories that are original and/or new may not seem too “Traditional.” Either way, Hasbro, Paramount, Michael Bay, and Steven Spielberg can't make everyone happy at once. It will take several creative ideas to come together that will touch all generations. Basicly, from everything I've read (real or not) and stated here, Transformers 3 will be very simple (similar to Part 1) and less complex (similar to Part 2) where the storyline will be easy to follow, more understanding, as well as the dialog between the Humans and Robots; Which will return with improvements and essentially being more in depth. By just adding a few newbie’s (Autobots / Decepticons) as well as bringing back all "survivors" from the last two films, I believe this film could be more epic than the other two combined; But, I believe that it will just resemble its predecessors and fail after its first opening weekend. The Transformers 3 story will feel dehydrated while being supported by an aging cast that will somehow bring some type of human emotion to the forefront.

Congratulations on doing Transformers 3, but I understand completely when you say you don't like to say you're doing something till you've seen the final edit. I was in "Jumping Jack Flash" with Whoopi Goldberg. I later found out they were so behind schedule after only a few days shooting they fired the director and the new director recast. I had a great role in "Men of Respect" with John Turturro which ended up as one scene after editing. The worst thing however is my sister Silvana Gallardo was cast as Anwar Sadat's first wife in the TV Miniseries starring Lou Gosset. After the film was shot and in the can she received a call from either the producer or director to say: The good news is that you're the best thing in the film. The bad news is you're so good, it makes Sadat look like a bastard for leaving you for a younger woman so we're cutting out the fact that he had a first wife. And there are plenty more horror stories. How any of us survive this business is amazing to me. For all the "glamor" it is filled with some of the ugliest people in the world. Wishing you a fabulous career!

Interesting... Your name is either somewhat familiar or maybe it's just common.
You've ended up on the cutting room floor because you are not significant.
