Black superstar casting director Winsome Sinclair, whose credits include casting extras for 'Inside Man,' 'Black Snake Moan,' 'Best Man, 'Fast and the Furious 2,' and more recently 'Precious: Based on the Novel Push by Sapphire,' will be this year's Star Project Mentor at the 14th annual American Black Film Festival.

The ABFF Star Project, an international acting competition for multicultural artists, was launched in 2009 as part of the company's goal to encourage serious pursuit of the craft by providing a platform to spotlight undiscovered actors. For the first time, voting for this year's finalists will be open to the public.

The Star Project Voting is now open at http://www.abff.com/festival/ until May 24 to view and vote for their favorite performance. Two grand-prize winners, one male and one female, will receive an all-expense-paid trip to Miami for the 2010 ABFF, from June 23-26.

Star Project finalists were each required to submit a videotaped monologue of their choice to be judged by a jury composed of a panel of accomplished industry professionals. Consumer online voting, combined with the jury's deliberation, will determine the grand-prize winners.

In addition to the winners receiving an all-expense-paid trip to the ABFF, they will perform live onstage during the ABFF Awards Ceremony and be afforded the opportunity to sharpen their skills at the festival by working with a leading filmmaker or casting director.
