Last night, Black Voices had exclusive access to the premiere and after party of the American Black Film Festival presentation of 'Stomp The Yard: Homecoming.'

Held at the Colony Theater in South Beach, Miami, it was a sold out event, with over 1500 anxious people turned away at the door.

Directed by Rob Hardy, and produced by Will Packer, the cast includes Meena Payne, who co-wrote and co-produced the film, actors Collins Pennie, Pooch Hall, Tika Sumpter, Terrance T.P. Polite, Antjuan Tobias, Lamar Stewart, Terrence J, Lil Duval, Kiely Alexis Williams, Keith David, rapper David Banner and music artist Teyena Taylor.

The sequel to the $75MM box office hit follows Chance Harris (played by Pennie) looking to find a balance between his school, work, relationships and opportunity to perform at the nationally televised step competition during homecoming weekend at Truth University.

Once the screening ended, the cast attended the after party at the Gemma Louge.

'Stomp The Yard: Homecoming' will be available on Blu-ray and DVD Combo Pack on September 21st from Sony Pictures Home Entertainment.
