Opening this week in limited theaters is the independent film 'Legacy,' which stars Idris Elba.
Written and directed by young British Nigerian filmmaker Thomas Ikimi, the film co-stars Eamonn Walker, Monique Gabriela Curnen, Richard Brake and Clarke Peters.
Elba portrays Malcolm Gray, a decorated anti-terrorist black-ops soldier. When a military effort to tackle an arms dealer ends in Gray's capture and torture, he later finds himself back in his Brooklyn apartment struggling to overcome the effects of severe paranoia and anxiety. While isolated, he reflects on the inconsistencies of the assignment gone wrong and begins to question the loyalty of his own brother, a senator on the verge of a presidential campaign.

I'm so glad that more and more movies are coming out with Black people as the main characters!
It has been a long time coming-no we are not where we should be-but we are way past where we was years ago-even two years ago :}
