The women's group at my church DOVE are all "Dinner and Movie together"! I can't wait, I'm taking my mom too! I saw the play in college @ JSU in 1980. Tonea Stewart "The Heat of the Night" and "A Time to Kill" directed the play.

Looking at this cast reminds me of how much I adore Loretta Devine - she's sharing the spotlight with a bunch of women who are almost young enough to be her children and yet she shines! No extensive weaves, no skin bleaching and no plastic surgeries despite the pressure that tinsel town can sometimes put on women of color (inparticularly, those who have rich, dark skin tones and actually look african american) in an effort to "europeanize" their looks. She carries herself with such confidence and poise.
We love you, Ms. Devine! Continue representing for us ladies well between our teens and golden years!
P.S. Oops, Sorry, I almost forgot about the other two veterans, Ms. Rashad and Whoopi -go ladies!!

I've been loving Loretta Devine's work since Dream Girls ( the Broadway play) The sistah is crazy talented! November 5th ;}
PS: A little birdy said that Ms. Devine will be renewing her role in the part 2 version of Waiting to Exhale (Yeah...baby :} All of the ladies back together again. I hope Whitney has agreed to renew her role because that would make this new movie totally awesome!
