Laurence Anthony
is making his film in 'Saw 3D' the most successful horror movie series in history.

The Canadian native plays Rogers, a young detective who partners with Gibson (played by Chad Donella) in the internal affairs department. Together, they are actively pursuing the killer and the true motive for these crimes.

Anthony is a published author and playwright, who has written 'The Lido Deck,' published in the best-selling book 'LAID: Young People's Experiences With Sex.' He also wrote the play 'How Do I Forgive My Dying Father' and is known as a passionate and accomplished spoken word artist and published poet.

Also returning for the seventh and final installment of the franchise is the character of Simone, from 'Saw VI,' played by VH1's Scream Queen winner Tanedra Howard.

"(Tanedra) was so good, that she's not only in this (opening) scene, and the anchor and victor of a very intense trap, but also has a nice emotional scene later, and has just been added into the mix for 'Saw VII,'" said writer Marcus Dunstan on the commentary track for the 'Saw VI' DVD.

As a deadly battle rages over Jigsaw's brutal legacy, a group of Jigsaw survivors gathers to seek the support of self-help guru and fellow survivor Bobby Dagen, a man whose own dark secrets unleash a new wave of terror...

Directed by Kevin Greutert, the film stars Tobin Bell, Costas Mandylor, Betsy Russell, with Sean Patrick Flanery, and Cary Elwes.

'Saw 3D' opens in theaters on October 29.
