On the heels of her starring role as the first female police commissioner in New York City, Angela Bassett has decided to join the cast of Fox's new film 'This Means War' with Chris Pine, Tom Hardy and Reese Witherspoon.
The film will be directed by McG, but the producers behind the action/romantic comedy are Will Smith, James Lassiter, Robert Simonds, Witherspoon and Simon Kinberg, states Variety.
The film centers on two best friends who happen to be international spies. But when they fall in love with the same woman, they declare war on each other.
Bassett will play the boss of Pine and Hardy's characters, a woman who has dedicated her life to the spy business and has no life outside the CIA.
In 2011, Bassett will be seen with Paula Patton in the wedding comedy 'Jumping the Broom,' coming out on May 6, and in the comic book adaptation of 'Green Lantern,' opening on June 17.

Fox! Are you kidding me? Fox! I thought all us African-Americans were FOX haters. Fox Broadcasting, Fox News, Fox Studios, etc. (They are all owned by the same white man) Yet, here we are again, Blacky running to the FOX everytime that the FOX hands out the MONEY. Angela and Will should be ashamed of themselves.

@Greg and Robert, You both are some sick mofos. I'll watch anything Angela Bassett's sexy self is in. She could boss me around all she wants.
