I am glad to see at least a couple of us nominated for a Golden Globe Award. The reason why Tyler Perry probably didn't get any nominations is because he doesn't do movies that the "regular" society can relate to. Spike Lee's movies were nominated a couple of times, even if he didn't win. And one of the actors from "Do the Right Thing," I think actually won.

what happened to for colored girls? you know what we need to have our own black oscars? we had it going once because we became so fed up of never been nominated, then because of the outcry they decided to give halle and denzel the award, quickly followed by jamie fox and the other guy i forgot his name, it seems like we are going backwards again, but you know what thank you tyler that you are making movies that AA want to watch. Lets get our own black golden globes, stuff this! we can have our own bollywood.

Idris Elba was great in the six part mini series, Luther. If you have not seen it, try to catch it on Comcast's On Demand or maybe the BBC network has it on its website. Really, it was good. Congrats on the nomination...

Are you serious for colored girls was one of the worst adaptations from play to screen I have ever seen you can't be serious and call movies like Frankie and Alice and Black Swan crap just because the cast isn't prodominately black or black at all. It is about the art form of cinema and Tyler Perry's screenplay did not step up to the plate. The performances were amazing I feel they might have been snubbed but the film itself was not amazing
