Lionsgate has released the teaser trailer to 'Conan the Barbarian,' starring Jason Momoa, Rachel Nichols, Stephen Lang, Rose McGowan, Saïd Taghmaoui, Ron Perlman, Leo Howard, Steve O'Donnell, Raad Rawi, Nonso Anozie, Bob Sapp and Milton Welsh.
Opening on Aug. 19 on 3D and 2D theaters, the most legendary Barbarian of all time is back this summer. Having thrived and evolved for eight consecutive decades in the public imagination - in prose and graphics, on the big screen and small, in games and properties of all kinds - Conan's exploits in the Hyborian Age now come alive like never before in a colossal 3D action-adventure film.

A quest that begins as a personal vendetta for the fierce Cimmerian warrior soon turns into an epic battle against hulking rivals, horrific monsters and impossible odds, as Conan realizes he is the only hope of saving the great nations of Hyboria from an encroaching reign of supernatural evil.

I think I'll sitck with Arnolds version. Besides, this guy looks slightly retarded. I'm so sick of remakes anyway. If it ain't broke don't try and fix it.

Ok, I'm cool with remakes but if any die-hard CONAN fan knows, CONAN was cut, built, displayed strength, chiseled from all that fighting he did...hence The Barbarian image. Image is everything and if you don't stick to the original blueprint (the comic book), you're going to lose fans.. a lot of them.
This guy is, is, is...I dunno. I can tell you right now, if he does a lot of "acting" in the movie and no fighting, forget about it. When Arnold took the reins of CONAN, he fit the part...literally. Think I'm lyin', go back and look at the movies he made and then go to a comic book store and look at how the artist drew CONAN.
For real though, not much thought was put into this. I'm sorry but this looks like CONAN on a jenny craig diet with a bad migraine. His hair is too long to be a barbarian in a sword fight. I can see him flicking it about out of his face when he's fighting. We'll see when the movie opens on 19 August. I am a CONAN fan since the 70's.
